Operations Manager / Plant Manager
to lead one of its key production sites in the Brandenburg region. The business is undergoing a phase of operational modernisation and is looking for a hands‑on leader who can drive performance, strengthen processes, and develop a high‑performing workforce. This is a pivotal role for an operations professional who thrives in a technical, production‑driven environment and enjoys shaping the culture and efficiency of a manufacturing site.
You will take full responsibility for the operational performance of the plant, including:
Leading all production, maintenance, and shop‑floor teams Ensuring output, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved Driving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with German EHS standards Implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Managing workforce planning, training, and development Overseeing production planning, capacity utilisation, and material flow Leading internal and external audits (quality, customer, supplier) Supporting investment planning for equipment, automation, and site upgrades Acting as the key operational contact for internal stakeholders and customers
What You'll Bring 7–15+ years’ experience in industrial operations (metals, machining, foundry, or heavy manufacturing preferred) Proven success managing production teams in a plant or operations management role Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technical production environments A hands‑on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams Experience with Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies Solid knowledge of German quality and safety standards Fluency in German; English is an advantage
