Senior Network & Security Engineer (m/f/d)
Your tasks
* You will provide our customers with expert advice on the implementation and optimization of modern IT security solutions
* You will be responsible for planning, setting up and administering data center and customer networks
* You configure and operate firewalls, IDS/IPS systems from Check Point, Fortinet, VMware NSX
* Your tasks will also include setting up and supporting web application firewalls (WAF) with a focus on Fortinet
* You will automate firewall and network systems using Python, Terraform and Ansible
* You keep an eye on new technology trends and integrate proven best practices into existing and new infrastructures
* You support sales and service management in the pre-sales process and contribute your technical expertise to the creation of convincing offers
* Together with Product Management, you will be responsible for our existing security services and drive their further development
* The release management of your services is in your hands and is supported by Asset Management (CMDB) and IT Operations
* You support the sales team with troubleshooting and coordinate contact with the manufacturers if necessary
Your profile
* You have several years of experience in firewall administration in the areas of Check Point, Fortinet, Azure, WAF
* You have in-depth knowledge of common network protocols and network security
* Whether working independently or as part of a team, you will implement configurations and ensure that security solutions transition smoothly into stable operation
* Taking responsibility for your solutions is a matter of course for you, and you want the entire network and security team to benefit from this
* You are characterized by strong communication skills and team spirit; you prefer clear, precise and personal communication in order to convey even complex topics in an understandable way
* Structured and analytical work is one of your strengths, as is a methodical approach, for example when creating concepts
* You enjoy familiarizing yourself with new technologies and continuously expanding your knowledge - and are happy to share it to help both the team and our customers move forward
* You are business fluent in German and have a good command of English
