At our location in Dortmund, we invite applications for a
Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d): Preclinical Metabolomics
You will be responsible for:
* Studying the development and metabolism of lymph nodes through melanoma metastasis
* Biochemical and histopathological characterization of tumor cells in tissues using chemical and fluorescence staining
* Handling in vivo and in vitro models to test research hypothesis and refine study designs
* Studying small molecule metabolite alterations of tumorous material by mass spectrometry imaging
* Quantification of corresponding metabolites using liquid chromatography mass spectrometry
* Data analysis of sequencing and microscopy data
* Data analysis of mass spectrometry data
Your profile:
* PhD in Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or related subjects
* Good understanding of tools such cell cultures, histopathology, microscopy, and/or chromatography
* Hands-on experience with mass spectrometers is a plus
* Excellent English communication and writing skills
* Basic understanding of cancer biology is preferable
