For an established international pharmaceutical company in North Rhine-Westphalia, the position of Senior Human Resources Manager (m/f/d) is being created for the first time. The objective of this newly established key role is the strategic and operational development of a forward-looking HR function.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the structure, processes, and systems of the entire Human Resources department, driving digitalization and acting as a sparring partner to Executive Management and leadership team. The position combines strategic conceptualization with strong operational execution skills in a performance and quality-driven environment.
The Senior HR Manager will also work hand‑in‑hand with regional and global HR teams to bring the Global HR Strategy to life across the DACH region and will contribute to shaping the Group culture.
The position covers the DACH region, consisting of 3 affiliates in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with a strong focus on the German one.
Your Responsibilities :
Strategic Development and Structuring
According to our global HR strategy, design and implementation of a holistic DACH HR strategy in close coordination with the Director Finance/HR/IT, the Executive Management and Regional HR
Establishment of efficient HR structures, processes, and policies in compliance with labor law requirements and Group policies
Development of sustainable workforce planning and organizational development initiatives
Operational HR Responsibility
Overall responsibility for all core HR processes (recruiting, onboarding, personnel development, performance management, compensation & benefits)
Implementation of transparent HR policies and modern leadership tools
Establishment of a structured talent and succession management framework
Labor Law & Compliance
Ensuring compliance with all relevant labor law regulations
Advising executive management and leadership on labor law matters
Drafting, reviewing, and further developing of employment contracts, internal regulations, and policies
Digitalization & Process Optimization
Optimization and/or implementation of modern HR IT systems
Digitalization of administrative HR processes
Introduction of data-driven HR reporting and KPI systems
Sparring Partner to Executive Management
Strategic advisory role in organizational and personnel-related matters
Support and guidance during change and transformation processes
Contribution to corporate strategy and growth planning
Your Profile
Successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Labor Law, or a comparable field
Several years of experience in HR management in a comparable position and in matrix international organizations
Proven experience in building or transforming HR structures
In-depth, practical knowledge of German labor law (essential requirement)
Experience working closely with Executive Management and Leadership Team
Experience in HR digitalization-projects
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on operational approach
High level of integrity, discretion, and assertiveness
