Team mission
GetYourGuide is looking for a Head of Social & Editorial Strategy to lead our social media strategy and content initiatives. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social and content strategy that builds brand awareness, drives engagement, and supports our business goals. You’ll lead a team of content strategist, creatives, and social specialists focused on creatively bringing to life a compelling brand presence that acts as the cornerstone of our brand identity.
Our social and content strategy has never been more important to our brand strategy. We are looking for a leader who can build best in class creative and content strategy for our owned and earned ecosystem that drives growth and builds authority for GetYourGuide within the travel experiences category. You’ll be responsible for setting the vision for our social presence, cohesive content marketing initiatives, and editorial direction ensuring they align with our overall business strategy and resonate with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Set creative standards for social-first content that influences all parts of the marketing go-to-market
* Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and content strategy that aligns with GetYourGuide's business objectives and brand vision
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of social and editorial strategists, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence
* Identify emerging social media trends, platforms, and content formats that can enhance our brand storytelling and customer engagement
* Drive innovation in our approach to social media and content marketing, continuously testing new ideas and optimizing based on results
* Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate the performance of social media and content initiatives
* Monitor and analyze social media and content performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement and growth
* Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize content, and improve ROI
* Stay informed about industry benchmarks and competitive landscape to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge
* Test and learn from new approaches, documenting insights to inform future initiatives
Skills & Experience:
* 12+ years of experience in social marketing, content marketing, or digital communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful social media and content strategies for global brands
* Deep understanding of major social media platforms, content marketing principles, and audience engagement tactics
* Experience managing and developing high-performing creative teams
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
* Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for visual content and compelling narratives
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence senior stakeholders
* Experience with content management systems, social media management tools, and analytics platforms
Please note this role is based in Berlin, you must be happy to relocate or be based here. We do offer relocation and visa support for this role.
