Future. Discover. Together.
As a leading research institution based in Berlin, the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute delivers innovations for the digital society of the future and has become a world leader in the field of optical data transmission. Building on many years of experience, its outstanding expertise in the field of optical wireless communication also enables the development of solutions in closely related fields, such as photonic sensing technologies. In recent years, the activities on LiDAR (e.g. with a focus on automotive applications) have grown to become another main area of expertise. This young and dynamic field of research opens up exciting scientific projects with clear application relevance. We offer the desirable combination of a highly interesting scientific environment and the insight into industry-related work.
