The Amazon Supplier Risk Auditor will lead audits across the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) while reporting to the Global Supplier Management team. To align with the goal of making Amazon a world-class leader in Supplier Management, this role will assist by utilizing developed audit tools to pinpoint and address the threats associated with working with a particular supplier. Many potential threats are associated with working with suppliers, like quality issues, delivery issues, financial instability, and human rights and labor conditions violations. This role will assist in developing, monitoring and evaluating corrective actions (CAP) for suppliers due to findings identified during designed audits and assessments. This role is responsible for managing and executing audits across assigned sites. The role extends to working suppliers to evaluating supplier’s corrective actions and effectiveness of the corrective actions. The ideal candidate will be able to foster relationship with suppliers to enable best environment to perform audits. Key job responsibilities • Conduct audits to ensure suppliers adhere to contractual agreements, industry regulations, and internal policies. • Identify potential risks within the supply chain, including quality issues, delivery delays, financial instability, and compliance breaches • Investigate supplier compliance breaches upon leadership request • Evaluate suppliers based on risk assessments, financial stability, and compliance records. • Prepare reports documenting audit findings, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies • Communicate findings to relevant stakeholders and ensure corrective actions are taken • Develop and improve supplier risk assessment and monitoring processes, and stay updated on industry standards and regulations • Work closely with procurement, quality assurance, and other relevant departments to ensure effective supplier risk management • Improve audit accuracy and capabilities • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders • Identify and implement process optimization opportunities • Travel expectations will be up to 75% A day in the life Global Supplier Management's mission is to optimize Amazon's supply chains by fostering trust and collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers. About the team The Global Supplier Management team comprises multi-disciplinary experts specializing in quality assurance, supplier qualifications, operational excellence, and new product qualifications. We prioritize identifying risk with suppliers before they are realized by Amazon’s supply chain by executing detailed assessments and audits during the lifecycle of our suppliers. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent - Experience within supply chain - ISO Certification or supply chain auditing or assessment experience - Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to comfortably engage with internal and external stakeholders to convey issues that potentially lead to opposing feedback - Strong attention to details and ability to analyze and identify patterns in large data sets - Problem solving skills - Experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook Preferred Qualifications - Experience creating audits and outcome reports - Solid track record for delivery of high quality audits - Strong time management and ownership of deliverables - Ability to work independently Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
