Systems Engineer (m/f/d) Quantum Technologies
Your Tasks
You will develop and implement technical solutions for
1. Studies and early phases (0 / A / B) projects on quantum technologies
2. Implementation projects (mission phases B / C / D / E) with focus on on secure / quantum communication
This translates into daily work with focus on
3. Technical coordination / Systems Management
4. Trade-offs of technical and programmatic solutions
5. Technical baseline definition for (sub)systems
6. Analysis and definition of customer, mission and system requirements
7. Specifications of systems and subsystems, interface engineering
8. Management of work packages and sub-projects
9. Definition of study/development logic, work breakdown and work packages
10. Budgets definition and engineering
11. Definition and conduction of test campaigns and respective laboratory work
You will participate in or lead proposal creation with focus on quantum technologies and systems, by defining the technical baseline and/or work logic.
Your Qualifications
12. Master/PhD in (aerospace) engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or equivalent
13. Strong understanding of quantum technologies and their industrial application, quantum key distribution, quantum memories, quantum sensing and entanglement as a resource
14. Ideally, experience in the design and implementation of secure and quantum communication systems for ground and space
15. Strong solution oriented, self-managed and pro-active working style
16. Passion for technology and the motivation to turn ideas into reality
17. Ideally, experience in motivating and leading small teams in technical roles
18. Professional experience in the space industry or in space-related projects would be an advantage
