All about the role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will report to the Platform Engineering and SRE Engineering Manager.
You will be part of our Cloud Native organization, working closely with our Product teams in eCommerce, Digital Marketing and other Consumer solutions to ensure reliable, secure and efficient operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving our deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and monitoring systems. You'll combine hands-on engineering with operational excellence in a collaborative, multicultural environment.
About the CDI Experience Organization:
The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Centre, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity to AI. You will play a key role in ensuring these solutions run reliably and securely in production.

What you'll do:
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure and multi-cloud environments, ensuring high availability, security and cost-effectiveness.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to enable rapid and reliable deployments.
• Have hands-on experience with a modern technology stack including:
• Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Helm)
• Azure services and APIs
• Monitoring, logging and observability solutions
• Collaborate with Platform and Product teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance in production.
• Implement and improve automation strategies to reduce manual operational overhead.
• Maintain security best practices and compliance standards across cloud infrastructure and deployments.
• Document operational procedures and contribute to runbooks and knowledge sharing.
• Support incident response and participate in on-call rotations.
• Advocate for infrastructure-as-code practices and help embed them across projects.
• Take ownership of your operational domain and demonstrate reliability and accountability.
Who are you:
• Solid understanding of Cloud Native principles and container orchestration technologies.
• Relevant IT/Computer Science qualification or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3–5 years of work experience in operational, DevOps or platform engineering roles with production systems.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and infrastructure automation.
• Comfortable with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Desirable qualifications and experience:
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• Familiarity with SAP systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs).
• Understanding of monitoring and observability tools.
