Overview
A large, multi‑site B2B wholesale organisation is seeking an experienced senior leader to take ownership of its Stock & Planning function. The role has enterprise‑wide scope and is critical to ensuring optimal product availability, strong service levels, and effective management of working capital across the business.
This is a high‑impact, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for planning governance, cross‑functional alignment, and operational performance within a complex wholesale environment.
The Role
As Head of Planning and Replenishment, you will have overall responsibility for inventory management - availability and replenishment performance across the organisation. You will lead a team of more than 20 professionals and act as the functional owner for planning standards, tools, and ways of working.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Procurement, Category Management, Supply Chain, and Finance, you will ensure that stock levels, demand planning, and replenishment decisions support both commercial objectives and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Planning and Replenishment team, ensuring clear accountability, capability, and performance
* Own the stock planning, availability, and replenishment performance across the wholesale network
* Implement, drive and manage the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process in close collaboration with key stakeholders
* Ensure effective alignment between demand planning, commercial priorities, and supply execution
* Monitor and improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and working capital efficiency
Candidate Profile
* Senior leader with strong experience in stock planning, demand & supply planning, or replenishment within B2B wholesale or multi‑site distribution
* Proven people manager with experience leading and developing larger teams
* Strong commercial and analytical capabilities, with a solid understanding of service level and working capital drivers
* Credible stakeholder partner, comfortable working cross‑functionally at senior level
* Experienced with S&OP processes and planning or forecasting systems
* Structured, pragmatic, and delivery‑focused leadership style
