Titel: Intern - Exterior Designer Duration: Full-time, 6 month Starting date: May – June 2026 Location: Munich, on-site We are seeking a creative and motivated intern to join our Exterior Design team, supporting the development and refinement of exterior design concepts for production vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities: Support the exterior design team in development projects. Assist designers in developing exterior design proposals, from overall design themes to detailed component-level design (e.g., lighting, grille, bumper, wheels, and other exterior elements). Create compelling sketches and design proposals in line with AVATR’s design philosophy of athletic elegance. Develop and refine design ideas using digital tools and 3D software to support internal reviews and presentations. Collaborate with digital modeling (CAS) teams to translate sketches into high-quality 3D models suitable for design evaluation. Participate in design reviews and support the preparation of visual materials and presentations for project milestones. Work closely with cross-functional teams including Studio Engineering, CMF, and Digital Modeling to ensure design feasibility and consistency throughout the development process. Gain exposure to the full design development process, from early concept exploration to production-oriented design refinement. Requirements: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Transportation Design, Automotive Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Strong sketching and visual communication skills, with the ability to generate creative and brand-relevant design ideas. Basic knowledge of digital design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Alias, Blender, or other 3D visualization tools). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced design environment. Fluent in English.
