Please join us to discover your own.ABOUT RIMOWA:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as our Head of Global Quality & Purchasing (m/f/d) in our Head Office in Cologne. In this critical role, you will spearhead both the global quality organization and the purchasing/sourcing functions, ensuring world-class product quality, exceptional supplier performance, and cost-effective, strategic procurement. The ideal candidate will possess a deep experience in both quality management and strategic sourcing, coupled with proven leadership skills and a relentless commitment to continuous improvement and strategic thinking.YOUR TASKS:Strategic PlanningDevelop and implement comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategies to achieve the company's vision and objectivesDesign and implement a global quality management system and robust processes that supports operations worldwideOptimize the structure and effectiveness of the quality and purchasing organizationsIdentify and capitalize on opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within sourcing, purchasing, and qualityProvide strategic oversight of operational quality assurance acrossall production sites and supplier networksGlobal Quality ManagementDrive the global quality organization to establish and maintain robust quality standards across the entire value chain, from suppliers to internal plantsPartner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deploy effective global quality solutionsServe as a key point of contact for strategic alignment and lead root cause analysis and mitigation efforts for quality-related issuesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing systems and product/process quality, fostering a culture of excellenceCultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and vendorsImplement advanced analytics within purchasing to develop deep insights into suppliers’ cost structures, empowering effective negotiationsNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable outcomes for the companyConduct regular, data-driven supplier performance evaluations and proactively address any issuesGovern Supplier Excellence programs, leveraging supplier data to drive continuous improvementsConduct ongoing reviews of the supplier landscape to inform strategic decisions regarding risk mitigation, innovation opportunities, and optimization of cost and lead timesLead, mentor, and develop the sourcing, purchasing, and quality teams to achieve peak performance and facilitate professional growthFoster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture where everyone can thriveOperational ExcellenceOversee the daily operations of the sourcing, purchasing, and quality functions, ensuring efficiency and effectivenessEnsure strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and all relevant regulatory requirementsImplement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing, purchasing, and quality processesDevelop and manage the sourcing, purchasing, and quality budgets, ensuring effective cost control and financial efficiencyProfilYOUR PROFILE:Completed technical university degree (Master's/Diploma) or a comparable qualification in engineering, quality management, purchasing, business administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sourcing/purchasing and quality management within a manufacturing environment5+ years of leadership experience in both functionsDemonstrated passion for our products and industryProven ability to develop and execute effective action plans, manage project deliverables, and present results clearly and conciselyExceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and persuade at all levelsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of identifying complex issues and developing effective solutionsStrong strategic and conceptual thinking abilitiesExperience leading and developing global teams, preferably in an international settingExcellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationshipsHands-on mentality and comfortable working in a dynamic, agile environment.Willingness to travel internationally as requiredFluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills are a plusOUR BENEFITS:30 days paid vacation per yearRIMOWA Essential Cabin suitcase as a gift after the probationary periodCorporate benefits and 30% discount on the RIMOWA assortmentCompany pension scheme with a high employer contribution or other capital-forming benefitsGreat canteen with freshly cooked and affordable foodUrban Sports Club membership, public transportation ticket & job bike (partly subsidized)International environment and development opportunities within LVMHBECOME PART OF RIMOWA:Please send us your complete application documents including your salary expectations with details of earliest possible starting date.We look forward to receiving your application!Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to RIMOWA’s DNA.
