Summary
This role supports the mobilisation and delivery of a large-scale data centre project in Germany, acting as the central HR and compliance lead for a multinational, rotational workforce.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with German employment law, labour regulations, and applicable collective agreements
* Implement and maintain project HR compliance frameworks and internal policies
* Support subcontractor compliance with local employment requirements
* Assist with audits, inspections, and internal compliance reporting
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Immigration & Authorities
* Coordinate work permits, visas, and residence requirements with legal/immigration advisors
* Manage employee registrations with relevant German authorities
* Track visa and permit expiry dates to ensure ongoing compliance
* Act as key liaison with local authorities on employment and workforce matters
Workforce & HR Operations
* Act as HR advisor to project leadership and site teams
* Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle (onboarding, mobilisation, rotation, offboarding)
* Support employee relations processes including disciplinary and grievance matters
* Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures in line with local legislation
Travel, Accommodation & Mobilisation
* Coordinate workforce travel and accommodation arrangements
* Support structured rotation schedules and site mobilisation planning
* Ensure cost-effective and compliant travel processes
Administration & Stakeholder Support
* Oversee and coordinate the project administration function
* Allocate workloads and support smooth site operations
* Maintain reporting, records, and general HR/project administration
* Liaise with project directors, operations, commercial, finance, and external advisors
Requirements:
Essential
* Experience in HR, compliance, or workforce administration in large-scale construction or industrial projects
* Strong understanding of German employment law or similar regulated European HR environments
* Experience managing international and mobile workforces
* Strong organisational and coordination skills
* Excellent communication skills across multicultural teams
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
* High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
Desirable
* Data centre, pharmaceutical, or major infrastructure project experience
* Experience with rotational/site-based workforce models
* Familiarity with German authorities or European compliance frameworks
