KG Organization EVP Global Functions Business Unit Strategic Procurement Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Global Commodity Manager is the SE-wide, strategic procurement owner of the respective commodity. GCM develops and aligns a resilient Ecosystem strategy for mandated Siemens Energy commodities together with commodity circles and in line with global SE strategy and business objectives. GCM implements a global Ecosystem strategy across various organizational units through assigned Commodity Managers and teams, supporting the transformation of SE. Functionally leads cross-functional commodity teams, providing and demonstrating supply market knowledge beyond Procurement perspectives to generate value and impact.How You’ll Make an Impact
7. Provides vision, strategy, and functional leadership to a global cross-functional team; acts as a role model for ownership, innovation, and transformation aligned with Siemens Energy’s values and strategy.
8. Leads and develops assigned team members in commodity, contract, supplier relationship management, and strategy implementation; negotiates and leads global frame contracts and price lists.
9. Works on commodity structure and organization with Strategic Procurement leadership and key customers; shares supplier market intelligence across Siemens Energy.
10. Develops forward-looking commodity ecosystem strategies aligned with business needs and supported by enhanced Commodity Circle networks to drive value creation.
11. Handles relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure alignment with company demands, enabling early supplier involvement and driving cost-out initiatives.
12. Identifies procurement risks and opportunities through supplier market analysis and scouting, integrating findings into ecosystem strategies for continuous improvement of managed spend.
What You Bring
13. MBA or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
14. Long term of work experience in the procurement area and a proven track record, ideally in a global organization
15. Strong commercial and technical understanding and knowledge of procurement, project management, and international contract law
16. Experience in functional leadership and project management is required
17. Minimum 2 years experience in leading multinational teams, incl. people development responsibilities and capable of working in multicultural teams
