* Development and implementation of IT architecture strategies (cloud, SaaS, and on-premise) and solutions to drive forward the digitalization of the city administration, also with regard to make-or-buy decisions
* Conceptualization of the design and implementation of IT systems (for IT itself and the specialist departments of the city of Bochum) that are optimally tailored to the requirements of the city of Bochum
* Preparation of the city of Bochum's IT for a new, even more fail-safe concept for the operation, design, and adaptation of applications to this new concept
* You will ensure the integration of new IT solutions into existing systems, taking into account IT security and data protection requirements
These are your qualifications and skills
* You have successfully completed a university or technical college degree in computer science, business informatics, or another IT-related discipline
* Civil servants: You have a university or technical college degree (bachelor's/FH) with a focus on computer science, business informatics, or another IT-related discipline and are qualified for career group 2, 1st entry level of the general administrative service
* In-depth knowledge of IT architecture and experience in the development and implementation of complex IT systems
* Expertise in the areas of IT security and IT infrastructure
* Knowledge of project management and experience in managing IT service providers
* Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented approach to work
* Knowledge of ITIL, agile project management methods, and Scrum; relevant certifications are desirable
