PhD student position (f/m/d)
Operational area: Department of Neurology, -Section of Epileptology-
Working hours: Part-Time 65% (currently 25,3 hours/week)
Duration/Term of employment: the position is limited for 3 years in accordance with the WissZeitVG (German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act) with the option
of prolongation. The successful applicant will be encouraged and supported to achieve a doctoral degree.
Start date: as soon as possible
Remuneration/Rates: EG 13 (TV-L)
Tasks:
The project you will work on is focused on targeting pharmacoresistant epilepsy. You will utilize state-of-the-art techniques, including next-generation sequencing,
advanced molecular biology methods, viral approaches, single-cell and network electrophysiology, and high-resolution imaging.
Your profile:
We seek a highly motivated researcher interested in the pathophysiology of epilepsies. Applicants should have a master's degree in biology, medicine, or a related
field (e.g., molecular biology, molecular medicine, physics). Previous experience with viral approaches, omics (next-generation sequencing ), molecular biology and
electrophysiology (patch clamp, MEA recordings) is highly desirable but not a prerequisite. Women and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply if equally
