Logistics Manager, you will drive smooth, cost‑efficient operations, steer key KPIs, and ensure top‑level service. You’ll shape our carrier strategy by negotiating strong rates, building a reliable network, and balancing cost with quality — all while keeping our supply chain agile, resilient, and future‑ready.
For this role, we expect the new colleague to work from Frechen (Germany).
Your responsibilities • Team Management & Development: Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team to achieve operational excellence. • Supply Chain Performance Management: Set, monitor, and analyze key supply chain KPIs, including: Transport cost per unit Service level compliance Pool utilization and balancing Depot network analysis • Strategic Carrier Network Development: Build and maintain a strategic carrier network to ensure efficient transport operations. • Cost & Service Optimization: Conduct benchmarking and carrier rate negotiations to achieve an optimal cost-service balance. • Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Develop strategies for volume distribution, risk mitigation, and secure transport capacity planning. • Systems Management: Serve as a superuser for ERP/TMS systems, providing recommendations for system improvements and ensuring seamless operations. • Budgeting & Cost Control: Propose, approve, and monitor logistics expenditures to ensure budget compliance and financial efficiency.
Your skills You demonstrate strong leadership and team management skills. You have excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. You are proficient in logistics systems (ERP/TMS) and make decisions based on data. You communicate confidently and negotiate effectively with stakeholders. You are highly organized and manage your time efficiently. You perform well under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively. You bring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Your education/experience You hold a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management. You have a proven track record in team leadership and performance management. You have experience in carrier negotiations, cost management, and contingency planning. You have a strong background in using ERP/TMS systems and providing recommendations for system improvements.
