As Senior Expert Data Architecture & Engineering, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing cloud-based data platforms and end-to-end pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, personalized experiences, and monetizable data products for future E-Commerce success.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Establish, lead, and empower a high-performing team of Data and AI/ML Engineers to gather and orchestrate data on purchase behavior, product & service usage, garden & planting, and climate & soil conditions as underlying foundation for (advanced) analytics, personalized experiences and monetizable data products
2. Define and implement a scalable data cloud architecture and pipeline setup to provide a robust backbone for Consumer Data Analytics and real-time actions
3. Maintain and continuously optimize the existing E-Commerce data platform based on external & internal data sources with best possible performance
4. Own the development & enhancement roadmap, prioritize features, and drive ongoing delivery through effective project management
5. Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business needs while ensuring compliance with governance and architectural standards
Your Profile:
6. 5+ years professional experience in data engineering or adjacent fields – preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or related
7. Proven track record in implementing, orchestrating & maintaining cloud based (Azure/AWS) end-to-end data pipelines utilizing tools like Azure Data Factory or dbt
8. Proficiency in SQL, Python, DevOps, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), and deep knowledge of data modeling & automation in platforms like Databricks, Snowflake or similar
9. Initial leadership experience with strong ownership, decision-making skills and the ability to balance business priorities with operational delivery
10. Collaborative working approach with excellent communication skills in English (good German skills are an additional advantage)
