About the Role

KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for Auxiliary Systems (Fluid Systems) of our Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators, you will be supporting Siemens Energies growing Power Plant Project Business and be a part of our global Supply Chain network. You are responsible to secure the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety and work closely with Procurement and Engineering functions in a multicultural environment. The suppliers in your scope will be the Fluids Systems suppliers in Europe supplying for projects worldwide. Typical equipment in scope includes Hydraulic- and Lube-Oil Modules, Fuel Gas and Fuel Oil Systems, Pneumatic Systems and Oil/ Air Filtering Systems. Respective components are Coolers, Blowers, Pressure vessels, Filters, Motors/Actuators, Valves, Atmospheric tanks etc.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Supplier Monitoring: Perform supplier oversight and product inspections for regular project execution to ensure compliance with specification. Inspection types include visual, dimensional, weld, coating, pressure, electrical, traceability, quality records.
2. Supplier Qualification and Development: Perform routine audits according to supplier risk categorization and audit program. Support supplier evaluation and commodity strategy definition. Implement supplier quality improvement programs or risk mitigation measures.
3. Nonconformance Management: Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective and preventive action as necessary.
4. Digitalization & Process Excellence: Utilize the various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. to create process transparency or periodically generate supplier quality performance reports. Your ideas on how to evolve our corporate digitalization landscape, for example by leveraging agentic AI, are highly welcome.
What You Bring
5. Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in mechanical-/ industrial engineering, or a similar discipline. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
6. Longterm professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, engineering or another related technical role in the Power Generation Industry or comparable industry related to the equipment scope mentioned above.
7. Familiarity with the following technologies is an advantage: Design of pressure equipment, Electrical equipment, Welding technologies, Coating & surface preparation, Inspection methods (Visual Inspection, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing), Material cleaning & preservation
8. Experience in Quality and/ or with auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
9. Knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA.
10. Willingness to travel as required for the role (approximately 35%) as well as strong communication skills in English.
