Health Safety and Environmental Advisor
Job Description
Role and responsibility:
* Provide frontline safety coverage, support, and assurance in the field to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
* Implement and oversee adherence to the Standard Operating Procedure
* Prepare and facilitate CHAZID sessions to ensure quality controls are identified and captured.
* Review and analyse all HSE project documentation to verify that high-quality safety plans and procedures are established.
* Complete pre-execution checklists.
* Update project murals weekly.
* Conduct self-assessment audits on weekly basis.
* Provide Support and coordination with project manager for conducting Assurance Process.
* Ensure accurate documentation population and maintenance of records for safety inspections, observations, training sessions, incident reports, and drills conducted.
* Provide relevant data and updates to the project manager and the HSE team.
Accountability:
* Review PTW and JHA
* Attend toolbox talks/Step 7 discussions:
* Ensure / support team to Identify and discuss task / area -specific hazards, risks, and controls relevant to the days activities.
* Foster interactive toolbox talks that actively involve multiple crew members in the discussion.
* Ensure that the team thoroughly conducts all applicable start-work checks to ensure readiness and compliance.
* Provide on-site field coverage for all high-risk activities.
* Identify UA/UC observations, report and ensure timely close-out.
* Participate and coordinate site visits.
* Ensure that delivery of HSE Activity Plan:
* Safety Induction and Onboarding
* Training Matrix and Training Certificates
* Periodical Inspection Plan
* Emergency Preparedness and Drills
* Trainings and Campaigns
* Incident Reporting and Management
