Responsibilities
* Independently conduct strategic negotiations with key partners on both sides of the business: content on the platform (pay TV, free TV, apps) and content from the platform (e.g., WOW via telcos).
* Develop holistic, solution‑oriented deal strategies with a focus on reach, revenue growth and product positioning.
* Act as the primary contact person for relevant partners and coordinate cross‑departmental activities with Legal, Product, Finance, Marketing and Editorial.
* Manage complex partner projects as a workstream lead or senior stakeholder, from initial conception to go‑live.
* Identify market trends and white spaces early and translate them into concrete partner strategies and action recommendations.
* Oversee creation of strategic decision templates and represent Sky to partners and internally at executive level, including negotiations at C‑level.
* Support coaching and development of team members within an agile, performance‑oriented setup.
* Drive further development of an integrated deal logic across the entire Commercial Partnerships division.
Requirements
* University degree in economics, media or a related field; ideally with further qualifications (MBA or similar) and several years of professional experience in the media, technology or telecommunications industry, including experience in strategic, commercial positions.
* Deep expertise in negotiating and managing complex partnerships at C‑level, with multi‑stakeholder management across Legal, Finance, Product, Tech, and Marketing.
* Proven track record in establishing and developing commercial partnership models, both in distribution and content deals.
* In‑depth understanding of market mechanisms, monetisation strategies and regulatory frameworks in the DACH media market, plus strong analytical and strategic skills.
* Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills for developing and presenting business cases, forecasts and executive briefings.
* Ability to work independently, manage complex projects and act as an operational sparring partner in day‑to‑day business through practical experience.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and implement decisions in a dynamic, politically complex environment.
* Very good written and spoken English and German skills.
