The basic requirement for a thesis at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the thesis.
This position must be filled from now for a period of at least 6 months.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Conducting a literature review on the current state of the art in the field
2. Preparation and running CFD calculations in a rolling bearing
3. Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting the results
4. Validating simulation data using experiment results or literature references in consultation with your advisor
5. Conducting sensitivity and parameter studies to derive an optimal solution
Your Qualifications
6. Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, physics or a related field of study
7. Competent handling of MS-Office applications
8. Advanced English and German skills
9. Good knowledge in the field of fluid mechanics or physics, especially numerical flow simulation (CFD)
10. Knowledge of machine elements desirable
11. Programming experience, ideally Python
12. Critical and creative thinking
13. Strong communication and collaborative skills as well as organizational talent
