About the role and the team
Join eBay’s Global Shipping organization as a Global Shipping Finance Manager, based in London, Berlin, or Dublin! In this role, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting, and help compose a clear framework for assessing business trends and the financial impact of key initiatives. You will work closely with business partners and cross-functional teams, with a focus on high-visibility analysis, strong financial stewardship, and practical decision support.
What you will accomplish
1. Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for the European Shipping programs.
2. Own the Shipping program P&L architecture and provide insight into revenue and operating expense drivers.
3. Build and refine analytical frameworks with business partners to evaluate growth levers and support strategic decision-making.
4. Own the annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes in close collaboration with business partners.
5. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights.
6. Drive cost analysis by identifying trends, drivers, and links between cost dynamics and key business metrics.
7. Partner with Controllership to support GAAP compliance, financial controls, and a strong audit trail, while collaborating on ad hoc business projects and central initiatives.
What you will bring
8. Bachelor’s degree required; MS or MBA preferred.
9. 5+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, with strong FP&A and quantitative analysis experience.
10. Prior experience in Supply Chain, Shipping, Logistics, or Reverse Logistics strongly preferred.
11. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and working with large datasets; S4Hana and Anaplan experience is a plus.
12. Intermediate SQL skills preferred, along with experience using database query tools and a basic understanding of data warehouse architecture.
13. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly and concisely.
14. Strong stakeholder management skills, analytical rigor, attention to detail, initiative, integrity, and comfort working in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
