TheGlobal Business Unit Demand Planner (f/d/m) isresponsible ensuring effective and efficient management,integration and continuous improvement of Supply Chain managementprocesses and technologies from vendors through to customers andjoint venture partners. As part of this scope it is responsible forlogistics planning and forecasting needs for products and servicesas well as distribution plans; selecting and establishing vendorrelationships and obtaining the desired value as well as definingand implementing strategy and process changes that improveturnaround times for optimal procurement of goods and services; thelogistics, warehousing and storage of products; and the efficientand economical movement of goods (e.g., materials, products,equipment) in a compliantmanner.
This position is partof the Supply Chain Team and will be hybrid, located inBad Kreuznach,Germany
Inthis role, you will have the opportunityto:
Overall ownerfor the IBP process for the Business Unit globally, businesspartnering with the Product Marketing team, financial controllersand commercial teams on volumeforecasting.
Generates andmaintains a monthly SKU/family level unit demand plan for eachsales region, using statistical forecasting and manually overlayingPLCM activities and marketinsights.
Has responsibilityto set the desired network strategy for the business unit, liaiseswith the regional planning team to execute on local/regionalstocking strategies
Developsrelationships with key internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing,Finance, Logistics and Customer Service to ensure insights based onfacts and with appropriate challenge are incorporated intoplans.
Gains alignment onthe total forecast with sales leaders and the BU PM’s, highlightinggaps vs. budget and identifying action to close anygap.
Theessential requirements of the jobinclude:
Bachelor’sor Master's Degree preferred in Business Administration, TechnicalEngineering, Quality or Food Science related field with multipleyears of workexperience
Demonstratedexperience in Capacity planning, Demand planning andIBP/forecastingtools
Demonstratedexperience in Supply Chain or ProductionOperations
Stronganalytical, problem solving and mathematicsskills
Broad ERP experience,preferably in SAP and high proficiency inExcel
Business fluent inEnglisch, German would be aplus
Willing to travel up to10% of thetime
