Configuration Manager, Journeyman. This position is in support of EMITS 2 of USAREUR-AF and their Mission PartnerG26,located inWiesbaden, Germany. This position is required to travel OCONUS.This position is located OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manages and maintains the configuration of software, hardware, and systems and provides expertise to support configuration baselines
2. Develops and maintains configuration management documentation, including plans, processes, procedures, and reports
3. Develops CMDBs for separate databases for each network and enables the use of automated tools (e.g., SCCM)
4. Supports the creation, update, and reporting of system configurations, architectures, data calls, audits, and inventories
5. Possesses and applies practical knowledge regarding DoD and Army CM requirements, processes, and standards
6. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments
7. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problemsPossesses and applies practical knowledge regarding DoD and Army Information Technology (IT) acquisition processes, including AR 25-1 and AEP70-13-45
Qualifications:
8. Possess a Secret clearance with the ability to retain.
9. Experience 4-7 years with a BA/BS in related field preferred or equivalent experience considered.
10. Certification – 8140 – A+ or Network+
11. Demonstrates proficient expertise in managing and maintaining configuration of software, hardware, and systems, including configuration baselines.
12. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of Configuration Management Databases (CMDBs) and automated tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
13. Exhibits skill in developing and maintaining configuration management documentation, including plans, processes, and procedures.
14. Showcases ability in creating, updating, and reporting on system configurations, architectures, and inventories.
15. Applies practical knowledge of configuration management requirements, processes, and standards across multiple complex assignments.
16. Demonstrates capability to operate with considerable independence, developing methodologies and presenting solutions to configuration management challenges.

18. Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs
19. Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards
20. Experience with DoD IT security requirements
