KG Organization Gas Services Business Unit Central Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day This position combines the working fields of Quality, Supplier Management and Projects. As a Quality Engineer (f/m/d) for coating, drilling, and assembly processes for gas turbine components, you will be crucial in ensuring the highest quality standards in the production of hot gas components for gas turbines supplier network. Your main responsibility will be to maintain highest quality standards throughout the production process. This includes planning and implementing continuous improvement activities and conducting technical reviews at supplier locations in Europe. Building strong supplier relationships will be essential to ensure timely execution of quality improvements and maintaining schedules for both new product implementation and series production.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Identify and drive initiatives to improve the quality of coatings for hot gas components produced by our suppliers
2. Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes, reduce non-conformance costs, and ensure adherence to quality standards
3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive improvements and to reach milestones
4. Lead initiatives to reduce costs and delivery times at external suppliers
5. Contribution to overall operational efficiency and supporting
6. Provide input to technology roadmap to ensure positioning our products for future success
What You Bring
7. A degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
8. Extensive experience in quality methodologies, thermal spray process (LPPS, LVPS, APS, HVOF), basic knowledge in drilling processes (laser, FHEDM), welding (laser, WIG), brazing and manufacturing management
9. A strong background in working with cross-functional teams, particularly in turbine hot gas parts
10. Project management expertise, strong organizational skills, and critical thinking abilities
11. Fluency in English; willingness to learn German; additional languages is a plus
12. Intercultural competence and readiness for approximately 25% travel
