Overview
We are currently supporting a global healthcare innovator in identifying a highly experienced and strategic Head of Manufacturing (m/w/d) to oversee a key drug substance production unit in Munich. This is a full-time leadership opportunity offering significant scope, visibility, and impact within a regulated biopharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage drug substance manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are met
* Drive Lean transformation and implement best practices across production processes
* Oversee technical transfers and support the launch of new products in compliance with regulatory standards
* Maintain inspection readiness and ensure adherence to cGMP and global quality frameworks
* Foster a high-performance culture and lead cross-functional teams
* Collaborate with global stakeholders to align on strategic goals and operational priorities
Candidate Profile
* 10+ years of leadership experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
* Proven expertise in cGMP compliance, regulatory engagement, and Lean methodologies
* Strong track record in managing large-scale operations and leading high-performing teams
* Experience in technical development and regulatory-compliant product launches
* Advanced degree in life sciences, engineering, or related field (MBA or PhD preferred)
* Fluent in English and German
* Resilient and adaptable in fast-paced, complex environments
