Reporting to the Director R&D, the RF Engineer plays a critical role in the development of RF systems through design, simulation and optimization of RF/RFID antennas and small electronic. circuits. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements, define layout specifications and develop customized antenna solutions to meet the needs of our customers and projects. Your expertise in RF/RFID antenna design, simulation tools and electromagnetic theory will contribute significantly to the success of our RFID products.
Responsibilities
1. Work closely with RF engineers and project managers to understand system requirements and antenna performance targets.
2. Design and simulation of antenna structures and small electronic curicuits using electromagnetic simulation software ( CST Microwave Studio, HFSS, FEKO).
3. Optimize antenna designs with respect to desired performance metrics, such as gain, bandwidth, efficiency and radiation pattern.
4. Creating prototypes and testing antenna designs using laboratory equipment such as network analyzers and range measurement equipment in our test chamber.
5. Analyze test results and optimize antenna prototypes to improve performance and meet project requirements.
6. Design complete solutions around RFID tags and readers according to customer specifications.
7. Contribute to the development of production processes for the manufacture of our products and transfer solutions to operations
8. Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies and advances in antenna design techniques and materials.
Requirements
9. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Antenna Engineering or a related field; Master's degree or PhD preferred.
10. Solid knowledge of electromagnetic theory, antenna fundamentals and RF/microwave engineering principles.
11. Proficient in electromagnetic simulation software for antenna design and analysis.
12. Experience with antenna measurement techniques and equipment.
13. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
14. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
15. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
16. Creative thinking and a passion for pushing the boundaries of antenna technology.
17. Good communication skills in English and German.
18. Hybrid working, means need to be at least 3 days per week in our Sauerlach office
