As Director of the European Research Institute, you will play a key strategic role in establishing SANY Truck’s R&D base in Europe.
This position is based in Germany on a hybrid model. The preferred locations are Bedburg or Stuttgart.
Responsibilities
* Leading the strategic planning and product roadmap for heavy-duty and light-duty trucks tailored to the European market;
* Managing the full operations of the institute, including team building, budget oversight, and goal setting;
* Overseeing cutting-edge R&D projects, including electric, hydrogen-powered trucks, and smart charging infrastructure;
* Driving market intelligence and technology scouting to stay ahead of industry trends;
* Launching innovative product lines focused on sustainability, digitization, and performance.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in mechanical, electrical, automotive engineering, or related field;
* 10+ years of experience in R&D within Europe’s commercial vehicle industry;
* Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and launching successful products;
* Deep understanding of commercial vehicle technologies and industry dynamics;
* Strong market insight, an established professional network, and connections with key industry stakeholders;
* Excellent negotiation skills and cross-cultural communication abilities;
* Strategic thinker with a long-term vision and a passion for innovation.
