Your challenges
1. You are responsible for the design and implementation of a global internal audit program, including risk management, business continuity, and compliance, and you lead the internal audits.
2. You develop and implement an independent department, "Internal Audit," and prospectively lead this department.
3. You develop and implement a comprehensive audit strategy aligned with the organization’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
4. You conduct risk assessments to identify areas of potential exposure and develop audit plans to address them.
5. You provide strategic counsel to executive management and the Audit Committee on critical control, ethics, and compliance matters.
6. You manage and perform financial, operational, compliance, and technology audits, including their design and documentation.
7. You ensure that the organization’s operating units comply with the requirements of internal control systems and applicable corporate policies.
8. You prepare detailed audit reports, clearly communicating findings and recommendations to senior management and the Management Board at least once a year.
9. You follow up on measures in case of findings from audits.
10. You review the effectiveness of risk management.
11. You support due diligence reviews concerning acquisitions.
12. You bring in suggestions concerning the implementation and optimization of processes.
13. You drive continued control consciousness and commitment to compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations.
14. You collaborate with other executives to monitor and assess the design and operation of cost-effective internal controls.
15. You build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
16. You coordinate the scope, coverage, and execution of internal and external audit plans with independent external auditors.
Your expertise
17. You hold a Master's degree.
18. You have 10-15 years of business experience, preferably including international exposure.
19. You possess experience in auditing, risk management, compliance, controlling, or consultancy focused on business or risk processes.
20. You have profound knowledge of auditing common ERP systems, such as SAP.
21. You demonstrate analytical and conceptual skills, as well as a solution-oriented approach tocross-divisional thinking.
22. You have the ability to build strong relationships and trust with the Board, leadership, and business process owners.
23. You are a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities.
24. You are willing to travel internationally on a project-by- project basis.
25. You are fluent in English.
