We are looking for full-time staff for the Institute of Virology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to start as soon as possible. Medical Technical Assistant (MTA, MTLA, BTA) – Molecular Virology and Small Animal Models in BSL2 and BSL3 Laboratory
Your responsibilities
We are a dynamic team of scientists and are looking for technical support for our research work. For this purpose, we are looking for an MTA or BTA or a laboratory technician with several years of experience in research, particularly in handling infectious agents and genetically modified organisms up to BSL3, in cellular and preclinical mouse models. We require solid knowledge of molecular and cell biology and expect experience in working with laboratory animals. The position is initially limited to two years, but an extension is possible.
Your profile
•Qualification as MTA, BTA or equivalent
•You have comprehensive knowledge of handling infectious agents and infectious samples
•You have extensive experience in handling laboratory animals and working in a safety laboratory (BSL2/3)
•Practical experience with automated and manual laboratory methods
•Ability to work independently and willingness to engage in challenging research projects
•Very good command of English, confident communicator
•Good computer skills, experience with computer-based applications
•High motivation, commitment and resilience
•you enjoy working in a team and taking on responsibility, and you are reliable and flexible
