Site Manager Krug Associates is a global executive search firm specializing in global industry and life sciences assignments, delivering top executive and board-level talent uniquely suited to drive client success. We are excited to partner with one of Biotech clients to find a Site Manager to built and lead the operational structure in East Germany. With currently approx. 20 employees, the aim is to grow the team to around 40 people. The future incumbent combines strategic thinking with operational excellence and is ready to make significant contribution to scaling the company’s innovative products and processes. Ideally this person has a strong technical background and experience in the establishment and further development of an effective organizational structure in production and process development, quality control and analytics, supply chain management, purchasing, logistics, engineering, service and maintenance, administration, as well as quality assurance. Key Responsibilities Establishment and further development of an effective organizational structure in the following areas: Production & process development; Quality control & analytics; Supply chain management; Purchasing; Logistics; Engineering, service & maintenance; administration (HR, IT, facility management, internal processes & organizational development), and QA. Develop a culture of continuous improvement and ownership Planning, construction and qualification of new premises and facilities (i.e. clean room) Development and validation of GMP-compliant manufacturing processes for biological products Ensuring the ability to deliver through in-house production and collaboration with partners Building a scalable IT infrastructure and introducing suitable systems (ERP, MES/LIMS, logistics, QM) Further development of the existing QM system (ISO 9001) towards GMP certification Resource planning, budget responsibility and performance controlling. Qualifications and experience University degree (MSc or PhD) in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering or related disciplines At least 8 years of professional experience in production, development or quality control of biological materials Initial solid leadership experience in interdisciplinary teams Experience in a GMP environment, ideally in the development or manufacture of biopharmaceutical products Entrepreneurial thinking, high self-motivation and hands-on mentality Strong communication skills in German and English (spoken and written) Enthusiasm for innovation, dynamic growth and scaling a company to the next level.
