As a science journalist (m/f/d), you will present complex research topics related to the energy transition in an understandable way and make our projects visible to the public. In doing so, you will bridge the gap between science and society and actively support communication for a sustainable energy system.

Your tasks
1. Strategic communication management: Development and implementation of communication strategies for energy research in close coordination with political decision-makers.
2. Scientific knowledge transfer: Identification of innovative research results and their preparation for specialist publications, online media and the press in a target-group-oriented manner.
3. Multichannel editorial & web: Content and editorial support for digital channels and print media, as well as the continuous maintenance and updating of the website.
4. Event management & networking: Conception and organization of scientific conferences, workshops and strategy meetings within a 10-member expert team.
Your profile
5. Academic background & experience: Completed studies (Master's/Diploma) in communication or journalism as well as sound experience in editorial work or public relations.
6. Professional and methodological expertise: Confident handling of content management systems (CMS) and layout basics, as well as sound knowledge of media and copyright law.
7. Linguistic excellence: Stylistically confident and precise formulation skills at native speaker level (C2) for the target group-oriented presentation of complex topics.
8. Sovereign profile: Strong interest in research and innovation policy as well as a professional demeanor towards stakeholders from science, business and politics.
9. Flexibility: Willingness to undertake occasional business trips (approximately once a month) to accompany appointments and events on site.
