This is along-term freelance/contract role(preferred availability:80–100% over 2 years).This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the transition fromSiemens S5-HtoS7, in a role where you'll directly influence the success of a high-impact modernization program.Your ResponsibilitiesLead all technical engineering activities across concept, basic engineering, detailed design, execution, and commissioning .Take ownership of the automation system replacement project as a technical project lead.Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure on-time, high-quality execution.Verify and track schedules, and support technical supplier management and documentation.Interface with project purchasing (scope verification, RFx optimization, and claims management).Support the creation and review of technical documentation, drawings, and commissioning plans.Provide regular technical input to project leadership and represent the project in technical meetings.Your ProfileExperience in industrial automation projects with a focus on Siemens systems (S5/S7) .Strong communication skills, both internally and externally (stakeholders, suppliers).Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and familiar with project documentation tools.Experience in brownfield projects and managing complex interfaces is highly valued.Available for on-site presence (4 days/week), especially during critical phases (training, construction, commissioning).Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.Project DetailsLocation: Northern Germany (on-site presence required 4 days/week)Start: ASAPDuration: Approx. 2 yearsWorkload: 80–100%Language: German is requiredInterested or know someone who might be?Send an email to or apply directly via LinkedIn with yourCV andavailability.
