Your area of responsibility
* Responsibility and management of day-to-day service operations for a complex, multi-platform IT environment, including: servers (Linux, Windows), cloud (Azure), virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V), storage solutions, backups, monitoring, cloud and network
* Coordinating the implementation of IT/OT projects and ensuring operational readiness
* Carrying out regular operational reviews and preparing reports for internal management and customers
* Carrying out root cause analyses for systemic problems and following up until the problem is finally resolved
* Leading capacity and performance management to ensure scalability of infrastructure and services according to demand
* Monitoring activities in the areas of change, incident, problem and request management in compliance with defined processes
* Management and control of external service providers
* Function as primary operational interface to the German organization
* Management and coordination of system lifecycle activities, including patching and vulnerability remediation
* Ensuring customer satisfaction and building trusting relationships with stakeholders
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system requirements and develop optimal, secure cloud and on-premises solutions
* Monitoring the budget
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field
* At least 5 years of professional experience in managerial positions in the field of IT infrastructure
* Hands-on experience with servers, hypervisors and the O365 environment
* ITIL certification is highly desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder management skills
* Strong organizational skills and an inner drive to consistently see tasks through to completion, combined with effective problem-solving skills
* Confident in using methods and tools for continuous improvement
* Strong project management skills
* Fluency in English (at least B2 level); fluency in German (at least B2 level)
* EU citizenship is required
