To provide enough potatoes for all plants every day, Lamb Weston works closely with its contract farmers. Field supervisors play a crucial role as a link between growers and production.
Job description
Hub between field and factory – support of potato suppliers with full personal responsibility
1. You will be the main contact person for your contract farmers all year round and look after them in all aspects of potato cultivation.
2. You conclude cultivation contracts with your growers and, if necessary, take care of the purchase of additional quantities of potatoes.
3. Together with the farmers, you will select suitable potato varieties and coordinate the delivery of the seedlings.
4. You will monitor the quality of the stocks and provide expert advice during cultivation and storage.
5. During the harvest season, you will coordinate the smooth transport of potatoes from the field to the Lamb Weston plants.
6. You document all relevant data and processes.
Profile
Independent, entrepreneurially minded agricultural professional with strong communication skills and organizational talent.
Must Haves
7. Professional qualification: Completed training or studies in the agricultural sector, ideally with a focus on plant or potato cultivation.
8. Professional experience: Several years of practical experience in agricultural field service, ideally in the support of farmers and in contract management.
9. Practical know-how: In-depth knowledge of modern arable farming, especially potato cultivation, as well as experience in dealing with cultivation contracts and quality management.
10. International communication: Good knowledge of English or Dutch for exchange in an international team.
