ZEISS is seeking a professional to join our team as a Supplier Development Manager.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Procurement professional with experience in supplier management and development. As a Supplier Development Manager, you will be responsible for evaluating and qualifying global suppliers based on scalability, cost efficiency, delivery reliability, resilience, and sustainability.
You will work closely with selected suppliers to achieve defined development targets and support the company's growth strategy. Your tasks will include analyzing suppliers' processes and KPIs, deriving measures to improve their processes, organization, risk management, production network, and ensuring supply chain compliance with global regulations, norms, and standards.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also conduct internal audits and audits from external authorities. National and international travel activities are also part of this role.

About You
We are looking for a procurement professional with 5+ years of experience in supplier management and development. You should have strong technical skills in different production technologies and a good understanding of global regulations, norms, and standards.
Your skills and qualifications should include experience in Lean-Methods, such as Lean-Manufacturing, 5S, Gemba, Six Sigma, CIP, Kaizen, SMED, Total Productive Maintenance, Value Stream Mapping, and project management.
You should also have excellent communication skills and the ability to animate diverse and demanding stakeholders to foster collaborations, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in a second language like German or French is preferred.
