At a leading financial institution, we seek an experienced Business Development Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building with Asset Managers.
Key objectives include generating new clients for our Depositary department, achieving expected results in terms of new clients, assets under depositary, and account openings, identifying opportunities and negotiating with a constructive win-win attitude, actively collaborating with Relationship Managers when growth opportunities are identified within their portfolios, working closely with other Business Developers to proactively position our value proposition, and driving product and service development.
* Deliverables and key activities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities
* Achieve expected results in terms of new clients, assets under depositary, and account openings while providing exceptional client service
* Ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
* Actively collaborate with RMs when growth opportunities are identified within their portfolios
* Work closely with other BDs to proactively position our value proposition
* Develop and implement innovative proposals highlighting our solutions offered to alternative investment funds, and position ourselves as a partner who can offer a comprehensive and consistent range of services to the client
* Comply with all procedures and compliance obligations (KYC, AML, etc.) related to the role
* Document client information in our CRM
* Represent our organization externally: conferences, presentations, training (ALFI, LPEA, etc.)
* Contribute to product and service development initiatives
