For our headquarters in Hamburg, we are looking for a Senior Manager Global Transformation (human) to start as soon as possible.
Your mission
You will design and steer VTG's transformation system – translating company and functional strategies into tangible, measurable business outcomes.
This role is about setting the organization up for success: defining the right initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment across functions, creating transparency on progress and outcomes, and initiating targeted countermeasures – structurally, financially, and culturally.
This is not a PMO role. You will not track milestones or manage project plans. You will own strategic clarity, impact logic, and the overall effectiveness of the transformation.
AufgabenShape Strategy into Impact
- Translate company strategy into clear, actionable functional strategies
- Build and continuously refine a coherent, focused transformation agenda
- Derive initiatives of all sizes with a strong strategic link and defined, measurable outcomes
- Apply rigorous prioritization and challenge initiatives lacking relevance or impact potential
- Contextualize insights from markets, customers, technologies, and macro trends
Own the Transformation Framework
- Take end-to-end ownership of the enterprise transformation framework
- Conduct recurring transformation assessments (e.g., based on the 7S model)
- Identify systemic gaps early and trigger targeted corrective actions
Drive Executive and Advisory Board Dialogue
- Translate complex execution progress into a clear, compelling strategic narrative
- Provide structured updates and decision-ready insights for Advisory and Executive Boards
- Highlight impact outlook, key risks, and critical decision point
Profil- University degree in business administration, economics, engineering or equivalent academic qualification
- Relevant experience in strategy, transformation, or top-tier management consulting
- Proven track record in defining and steering strategic initiatives with measurable impact
- Strong understanding of value creation and execution trade-offs
- Willingness to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, challenge constructively, and act systemically, while engaging and influencing senior stakeholders
- Analytical and strategic approach to solutions combined with a structured and outcome-oriented working style
- Very good communication skills in English
