Exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer, don't hesitate to apply!
As an electrical engineer in the field of utility solar energy, you will play a key role in the planning,
installation and commissioning of large photovoltaic (PV) systems. Your focus will be on DC and
medium-voltage systems.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and design:
developing and designing the electrical systems of PV installations, in
particular DC and medium-voltage components including transformer stations, according to
local requirements (Europe mainly Germany) taking efficiency and safety into account.
- Technical calculations:
Carrying out load flow, short-circuit and protection calculations for
DC and medium-voltage systems to ensure the stability and safety of the systems.
- Project management and coordination:
Liaising with internal and external project teams, site
managers and subcontractors.
- Monitoring and quality control:
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in
accordance with national and international standards (e.G. DIN, IEC).
- Commissioning and testing:
Support with the commissioning, calibration and testing of
electrical systems;
implementation and documentation of acceptance tests.
- Documentation and reporting:
Preparing technical documentation, calculations, reports and
protocols, as well as maintaining and updating project documentation.
- Planning of systems and grid connections
- Planning and dimensioning of systems (inverters, transformers up to the feed-in point)
- Dimensioning of cables (DC and AC) up to the feed-in point (cable route)
- Planning of SLD, communication, monitoring
- Legal planning and technical support of the project up to commissioning
- Support with applications up to approval
- Experience in carrying out formal enquiries and applications for grid connection of PV
systems in cooperation with the relevant grid operator
- Experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst and PVcase or Helios 3D
- Calculation and planning of earthing concepts
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. / Diploma in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.
- Experience:
Professional experience in the planning and realisation of solar energy power
plants, especially in the areas of DC and medium voltage.
- Expertise:
Sound knowledge of DC and medium voltage systems, including relevant safety
and installation standards.
- Technical understanding:
experience with common electrical design tools and software,
e.G. AutoCAD or PVSyst.
- Analytical skills:
Ability to analyse technical problems and develop efficient solutions.
- Communication:
Excellent communication skills (minimum English, German) and the ability
to convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- Flexibility and mobility:
Willingness to travel for work and occasional field work on
construction sites, driving license B.
