Area of responsibility
The Server Management department is responsible for server-related services within the DRV's joint data center. We collect and plan the requirements of the German pension insurance institutions on an as-needed basis and provide our customers with operating systems and virtualization solutions tailored to their requirements on various geo-redundant and standardized platforms. To this end, we are the service provider for our customers for the central automation tool Broadcom Automic Automation.
Your tasks
* Planning, designing, and administering the central product suite "Automic Automation" for workload automation for IT services across various platforms, applications, and operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Server)
* Further developing, providing user support and implementing new product features, patch management and administration of the associated product environment (including management server, proxy technology and agents)
* Providing and configuring the necessary web servers
* Participating in the creation of standards and guidelines for DRV Bund IT.
* Monitoring and controlling the central application, problem analysis, and troubleshooting of a high degree of difficulty.
* Implementing and monitoring IT security and IT quality assurance measures.
There is a need to participate in on-call duty on weekends and public holidays.
The position requires a willingness to travel occasionally between Berlin and Würzburg.
Your profile
* Successfully completed university education (bachelor's or diploma degree) in the IT field or comparable qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification) or completed vocational training in the IT field or comparable practical experience of several years in the IT field
* Several years of relevant professional experience in IT with regard to transition and administration, focusing on: entire Automic Automation infrastructure, Oracle database, operating system (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server 2019 and higher), web server technology, control and coordination for training/further education in the product environment and all tasks in the specialist team, troubleshooting with the involvement of manufacturer support if necessary, implementation of recovery scenarios and patch management for all product components. Programming of system-related tools: with Power Shell 4 and higher, Unix shell, SQL script, Automic script language with medium difficulty level. Ideally, knowledge of Automic proxy technology. Experience in implementing product-specific authorization concepts and experience as a user of automation tools would be an advantage.
