Job Description: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Endocrinology, Rare Disease & Genetics (Northern Germany) Location: Northern Germany (Field-based) Start Date: Immediate Employment Type: Full-time, Field-based Department: Medical Affairs About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Medical Affairs team, focusing on therapeutic areas in endocrinology, rare diseases, and genetic disorders. The MSL will serve as a trusted scientific expert and field-based medical resource, supporting external stakeholders across Northern Germany. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals, clinical researchers, and patient organisations to increase disease awareness, enable optimal patient care, and support ongoing scientific exchange. Key Responsibilities Scientific Exchange & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong, peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, and other external experts in endocrinology, rare disease, and genetics. Deliver high-quality, fair-balanced scientific and clinical presentations to healthcare professionals. Identify and address unsolicited medical and scientific inquiries with evidence-based responses. Medical Insights & Strategy Gather and communicate medical insights from the field to help shape internal strategy, evidence generation, and educational initiatives. Support the development and execution of the medical plan in alignment with cross-functional teams. Medical Education & Training Support medical education events, webinars, advisory boards, and congress activities. Deliver internal scientific training to cross-functional colleagues as needed. Compliance & Documentation Ensure all interactions and activities comply with relevant regulations (e.g., EFPIA, local law), company SOPs, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate reporting of field activities, insights, and interactions. Qualifications & Experience Required Minimum 2 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar medical/scientific role in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. Strong understanding of clinical research, scientific data interpretation, and medical communication. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build credible scientific relationships. Fluent in German and English (written and spoken). Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the Northern Germany region (approx. 60–80%). Must be currently based in Northern Germany. Preferred Experience working in rare disease or genetic therapy areas (e.g., metabolic disorders, endocrine genetics, enzyme replacement therapies, gene therapies). Existing network of KOLs in endocrinology or rare disease specialties. Previous involvement in launching innovative therapies.
