Job Responsibilities Child Development Assessment Clinics – Neurodevelopmental assessment. Assessment for children under 5 years for diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Support coordination within Multidisciplinary Integrated Service at Ham Clinic, Richmond – joint assessments, MDT review, hip surveillance, development of care pathways, transitions. Provide medical advice to the Local SEND according to statutory legislation and guidance for children with special educational needs. Child protection medicals and attendance at peer review. Run face‑to‑face and telephone clinics for new and review cases presenting with developmental concerns accepted through our referrals pathway (ITAC). Consider possible diagnoses of ASD, movement disorders, neuromuscular disorders, globally impaired developmental profile. Manage children and young people with complex neuro‑developmental needs including movement disorder and genetic conditions as part of a multidisciplinary team. Oversee and manage the multidisciplinary team; coordinate and plan MDT meetings including transition and early years focus with allied professional teams. Support development of care pathways and patient passports. Lead in safeguarding; opportunities to enhance safeguarding experience and lead in this area. Training Ability to teach and train peers and allied health professionals. Clinical Can demonstrate having achieved the competencies equivalent to the Highest Specialist Paediatric Training. Management Experience of the working of the NHS and understanding of financial implications and productivity. Clinical Ability to fulfil all the duties of the post, including on‑call commitments and travel requirements.
