MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading outdoor brand on the search for a Merchandise Manager, based in Munich.
This role owns seasonal merchandise planning and in-season trading for the German market - balancing global direction with local needs to deliver availability, profitability, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead seasonal planning from range architecture and OTB through to in-season trading.
* Build data-driven assortment plans by channel, door and consumer; set min/max and replenishment logic.
* Own forecasting, intake, and inventory health; drive actions on risk, cover and aging stock.
* Analyse weekly sales & sell-through; recommend price, promo and flow adjustments to hit targets.
* Partner with Sales, Demand/S&OP, Retail Ops and Finance to align plans, buys and timelines.
* Track margin and mix performance; optimise options, depth and lifecycle.
* Brief and align with VM/Marketing to ensure cohesive stories across stores and digital.
* Report performance, opportunities and threats to senior stakeholders with clear action plans.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in merchandise planning/buying within premium/outdoor/sport or adjacent categories.
* Strong commercial acumen with advanced Excel and data storytelling.
* Structured, detail-driven operator who can also zoom out to strategy.
* Confident communicator and cross-functional partner; comfortable influencing senior stakeholders.
* Fluent German & English.
* Passion for product and the outdoor consumer is a plus.
