Join our Construction Execution team as a Construction Manager where you will independently oversee complex construction projects for Amazon's expanding infrastructure. In this role, you will manage delivery from external project management partners and assist in the design process management for delivery stations and fulfillment centers across EMEA. Working independently, you will utilize best practices to facilitate delivery of high-quality results while managing project budgets and coordinating with multiple teams. Key job responsibilities Manage complex construction projects independently from initial concept through final completion Own project budgets, costs, and comprehensive scheduling Lead coordination with external partners and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards Lead technical feasibility assessments of prospect sites and develop comprehensive solution designs independently Drive permitting processes with local authorities and proactively identify and mitigate early-phase project risks Drive process optimization and implement tactical improvements Make independent decisions within established project frameworks Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate project status effectively A day in the life Your day is a dynamic blend of tactical planning and hands-on project management. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science - Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks - Experience in stakeholder and communication management - Experience managing projects and working independently - Knowledge of advanced English at CEFR level B2/C1 - Speak, write, and read fluently in German - Experience managing complex construction projects Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region - Experience with process design based on Lean Principles - Professional construction management certifications - Experience with logistics and fulfillment center construction - French, Polish, Arabic, Portuguese, Turkish, Afrikaans and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
