ResponsibilitiesModelling nuclear well logging tools.Developing corrections, calibration procedures, and interpretation charts for the probes.Supporting clients with the interpretation of measurement results and campaigns.Planning and conducting measurement campaigns in the internal test center.Verifying model results and calculations through measurements.Developing and improving existing algorithms and models.Supporting radiation protection duties.Required QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent in physics, geoscience, petrophysics or similar.Excellent understanding of neutron and gamma radiation physics.Experience in numerical simulation (Monte Carlo simulations).Programming skills (preferably in MATLAB).Experience in the numerical analysis of measurement data.Very good technical understanding, including interpreting technical drawings and design templates.Independent and results-oriented work style.Excellent English language skillsBasic German language skillsPreferred QualificationsProficient in using MCNP, especially MCNP5 1.60.Experience in modelling and designing nuclear wellbore probes.Experience in interpreting cased-hole measurements from nuclear wellbore probes.Experience in radiation protection with expertise according to 2.3, 6.3, and SEWD guidelines.
