Guardian Glass, a global leader in high‑value architectural glass solutions for building façades, is seeking a contribution motivated, entrepreneurial professional to join our Architectural Demand Creation team in Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and expanding our commercial project business across the Dach region, working closely with the key project stakeholders, inspiring designers, influencing specifications, and positioning Guardian as the preferred partner for architectural glass solutions in the region.
What You Will Do
1. Track the most recent market intelligence information about key regional client accounts (largest developers/investors, architects, and cladders)
2. Define a priority plan including the industry's key players within the region and expand the business network while maintaining existing relationships.
3. Identify construction projects in the inception phase and gather information about the players involved (e.g. General Contractor, Owner/Investors, Cladder, Architect, Façade consultants) and assess the scope of the project (e.g. product type –, volume, and future potential of the account)
4. Contact and offer to collaborate with Architects and façade consultants to qualify the project by determining its scope: product type (value-added and high value-added products)
5. Collaborate with Architects to draft glass specifications by:
6. Close cross collaboration with our technical department
7. Supporting Architects and Façade consultants in solving potential technical processes by involving the Technical Support Team.Requesting and overseeing sample deliveryExchange in specifications and drawings process of each aspect of the project related to the facade, resulting in the final design ready for bidding
8. Drive close project Follow up throughout the bidding phase, in collaboration with the Sales team and different internal capabilities, to secure the project and deliver reliably.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
9. Background in business, engineering, architecture or relevant work-related experience
10. Proven sales experience in the B2B environment, preferably within the building material industry in cooperation with architects and aluminum contractors (Glass/Façade preferred)
11. Strong and effective communication skills, including verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation
12. Project Management, Business development, prioritization, economic thinking and decision-making skills
13. Self-starter mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, able to work in a team environment, with borderless and cross functional approach, to support the business and strategic goals
14. Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.
What Will Put You Ahead
15. Sales experience and technical expertise in coated Glass products and aluminum systems construction
16. Strong technical knowledge in the glass industry and technologies.
17. Comfortable reviewing architectural plans and details.
18. Experience with the specifying process from inception to completion.
19. Experience analyzing and continually improving a multi-step and multi-strategy sales model
20. Experience with Salesforce
