We are looking for you, as a Senior Indirect Tax Specialist (m/f/d) for our Berlin location.
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)
Senior Indirect Tax Specialist is a person, who takes on the responsibility for VAT processes and declarations for client Business Unit(s), in accordance with agreed timeline and quality.
* Acquire, analyze and prepare VAT data/ declarations and ensure accurate, compliant and timely submission of VAT declarations;
* Support VAT payment and refund process;
* Maintain accounting procedures related to VAT: settlements, reconciliation of VAT accounts, etc.;
* Maintain ERP master data for indirect taxes;
* Perform quality controls: SOX controls and Internal team's controls;
* Contribute to other projects and duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
* Higher education in Economics/ Finance or relevant field;
* Previous experience in Accounting or finance (experience in VAT accounting will be considered as an advantage);
* Fluency in English (both verbal and written) to communicate with Business Units and colleagues in Europe and USA;
* Knowledge of German would be considered as an advantage to communicate with BU Germany;
* At least 2-3 years experience of VAT Compliance;
* Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
* Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines;
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, previous experience with ERP systems will be considered as an advantage.
