About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Event Technician & Setup Coordinator to join our dynamic events marketing team. This role is essential to the successful execution of live events, involving the physical setup and teardown of equipment, including AV systems, staging, signage, and other event infrastructure.
What you will do:
1. Transport, load, and unload event equipment to and from venues
2. Assemble and dismantle staging, lighting rigs, speaker systems, banners, and branding materials as required
3. Set up and operate basic audio-visual equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, and mixers
4. Conduct pre-event checks to ensure technical systems are fully functional
5. Support on-site logistics including power supply, cable management, and health & safety compliance
6. Liaise with event managers, venue staff, and suppliers to ensure smooth setup and teardown
7. Troubleshoot technical issues during events and respond to on-the-ground requirements
8. Maintain and inventory all event equipment and report any faults or losses
9. Assist with post-event pack down and ensure proper storage of equipment
What you will have:
10. Prior experience in event setup, AV tech, or live production preferred
11. Strong practical and technical skills – confident handling tools, equipment, and AV systems
12. Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items
13. Full, clean driving licence (essential)
14. Strong time management and reliability – must be punctual and dependable
15. Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
16. Excellent problem-solving skills and a “can-do” attitude under pressure
17. Manual handling or health & safety certification
18. Familiarity with event venues across Ireland
19. Experience working in fast-paced promotional or marketing events
