Overview

Join to apply for the Sales Director - Central Europe role at Klaviyo.

We are looking for a talented Director of Sales (DACH) to lead a team of Account Executives in Germany and across the DACH region. You will report to the Managing Director EMEA and drive mid-market and enterprise initiatives in EMEA, shaping strategy and execution for growth.


Responsibilities

* Develop and lead the team in relation to all Mid-Market and Enterprise initiatives in EMEA.
* Ongoing design of segment strategy for long-term planning and practical, day-to-day improvements.
* Hire top performers and coach and develop the team.
* Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Partnerships, Operations, Enablement, and Customer Success to identify trends and opportunities.
* Accurate forecasting and modeling of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenues.
* Identify career paths to build the next generation of Klaviyo sales professionals in Germany.
* Prioritize customers and develop strategies to optimize the Customer Journey.
* Explore new ways to improve sales efficiency by shortening the sales cycle, improving win rates, or increasing average selling price.
* Introduce new tools and processes into the workflow and drive continuous improvement and change management for the team.
* Serve as a thought leader for the team and the region.


Your Impact

* Team: Maintain high performance standards, motivate the team, and conduct regular strategic 1:1s focusing on professional development; set quantitative and qualitative goals for growth.
* Leadership: Align with the Sales Leadership team to set strategic direction for Mid-Market and Enterprise segments; partner cross-functionally with Operations, Enablement, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success in EMEA and the USA; coach Managers and AEs to realize potential; represent the Sales team with senior leadership.
* Operations: Use data to drive strategic decisions; communicate data trends and actionable recommendations clearly; identify and implement new tools and processes to improve workflow and manage change.
* Customer: Prioritize customers and design a customer-centric sales strategy.


Qualifications

* Proven experience at a senior or director level, ideally in a fast-growing technology or SaaS company.
* Minimum 8 years of experience leading a sales team with exposure to the German market or DACH region as a Country Manager or Regional Director.
* Growth mindset and ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment; energetic, self-motivated.
* Global perspective with a track record of hiring and developing sales talent across levels (AEs to senior ICs and Sales Managers).
* Strong coaching skills and a passion for helping others develop.
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships (Marketing, Partnerships, Enablement, customers, agencies, prospects).
* Strong data-driven decision making; experience partnering with leadership to plan and implement new initiatives.
* Strategic thinking with operational focus and execution capability; results-oriented, proactive, and autonomous.
* Experience in a dynamic, high-pressure sales environment; deep understanding of SaaS and sales economics.
* Willingness and eligibility to work in Germany.
* Soft skills: excellent presentation and communication skills for international audiences; strong analytical thinking and problem-solving; detail-oriented with persuasive abilities; readiness to own quarterly and annual planning; curiosity, initiative, and willingness to experiment; proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, and Gong; familiarity with structured sales methodologies and processes.


Additional Information

Base pay range in local currency: €153,600—€230,400 EUR. Total compensation may include annual bonus, variable pay (OTE) for sales roles, equity, sign-on, and a comprehensive benefits package. Details provided by your recruiter during hiring.
